Our client is a well known MNC emerging Electronic Manufacturing Services company based in Johor Bahru, the company is currently expanding the business and looking for the talents of Head of Material to in charge the Purchasing, Warehouse & Logistic department.

Key Responsibilities:-
  • Responsible for effective material operations that meet world class standards that will meet key indices to support Operations to meet revenue needs of the Corporation.
  • Continuously implanting new initiatives are developed to meet the changing business environment in particular ensuring Global initiatives are supported and all measurements are in place to meet these goals.
  • All objectives are to be meeting cost goals in an effective Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistic functions
  • Purchasing:-
    • Managing a team of Purchasing staff and provide departmental strategies
    • Responsible for overall staff performance, ensuring strategies are implement and execution to ensure shortages are resolved to meet revenue aside managing and driving plant wide inventory level
    • Ensuring effective utilization and development of work groups and effective purchasing practices for all dealing with suppliers. Adjust practices to meet the changing business conditions
    • Stays informed of economic and business situation to be in line with revenue needs.
    • Assists the Plant Manager in ensuring Global initiatives are implemented making changes in Purchasing organization and improvements in operations
    • Ensuring key metrics are met and monthly reports are submitted on time for review
    • Establish operational indices and ensure all key suppliers are clearly aware of these needs and operate to meet our needs.
  • Warehouse & Logistics:-
    • Responsible for Warehouse operations and ensure that Operations are effective in the supply of materials to Operation, FIFO practices etc.
    • Ensure security and safety of the warehouse and compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. FTA, C-TPAT, ISO in the warehouse as well as good housekeeping
    • Accountable for inventory accuracy, discrepancies are resolved and corrective actions implemented.
    • Establish operational indices and ensure all key suppliers are clearly aware of these needs and operate to meet our needs
    • Implement Lean practices in Warehouse operations to maximize warehouse space, utilization & efficiency
    • Ensure Logistics operations are effective in the clearance of cargo to meet revenue needs
    • Review & analyze freight spend, KPI and work with GSBM in the alignment of agreement with suppliers to meet economic transportation model
    • Identify and establish 3PL Warehouse to support Operations, this is a strategy that will directed by Site General Manager
    • Ensure compliance to import & export regulations for all shipment from/to different countries where logistic movements are required
    • Lead and drive changes to Warehouse/Logistics procedures and work flow to improve overall operational efficiency, ensure all procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to
Job Requirements:-
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, in Supply Chain / Business Studies or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): purchasing, warehouse, logistic, inventory, material, manage.
  • Required language(s):CHINESE, ENGLISH, BAHASA MALAYSIA
  • At least 15 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Applicants must be willing Work at JOHOR BAHRU, JOHOR.
